When magazine De Stijl was founded in 1917, Hungarian-Dutch artist Vilmos Huszár designed a brilliant logo for the magazine. His abstract black-and-white composition remained De Stijl’s calling card until 1921. This monotype or mono print is part of a series of experiments from 1924. Huszár's compositions consist of partially overlapping areas of colour and hatching, producing new blended shades. [text 2023]
