About the Museum
The Centraal Museum is the oldest municipal museum in the Netherlands, with deep roots in Utrecht. Here, you’ll find art, fashion, design and the city’s history, but above all, stories about how we live together.
We take a broad view of culture: everything people create, share and consider important. What do we see as good or beautiful? What gets attention? And who actually decides?
Through our exhibitions and programmes, we present different perspectives on the present and the past. Not to provide a single answer, but to make room for your point of view.
