Visitors with a CJP card or student ID (including international student IDs) receive a discount on a regular ticket.

At this time, we do not offer a teacher discount.

Yes, you can. Your Museum Card is valid immediately after purchase.

You can use VVV gift cards to pay in the museum shop. Admission tickets cannot be paid for with VVV gift cards.

Your visit

The Centraal Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Centraal Museum is closed on New Year's Day, King's Day and Christmas Day.

On Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, Liberation Day, Ascension Day, Whit Sunday and Whit Monday, Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve, the museum is open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The shop is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The café is open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can visit the shop and café without a museum ticket.

Yes, lockers are available for coats and bags. It is not possible to store suitcases at the museum.

Yes, you may. Please make sure you do not disturb other visitors or photograph them without their permission. The use of flash and tripods is not permitted.

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the museum. You can connect to the ‘Centraal Museum’ network.

Parking

You can park in the nearby Vaartsche Rijn and Springweg car parks. The Centraal Museum is about a 10-minute walk from either car park.

Next to the museum, on Nicolaaskerkhof, there are two disabled parking spaces. You can park there free of charge with a European disabled parking permit. A parking ticket is required for all other parking spaces.

With a Utrecht disabled parking permit, you can park anywhere for free.

Yes, you can drop people off in front of the museum.

Accessibility

Large parts of the museum are wheelchair accessible. There is a special route for wheelchair and buggy users. Ask about it at the ticket desk or download the route (PDF) before your visit.

The mezzanine floors in the Stables can only be reached by stairs.

Some doors are difficult to open for wheelchair and walker users. It may therefore be helpful to bring someone to assist you during your visit.

There are two wheelchair-accessible toilets in the building: one near the cloakroom and one near the Stables.

Certified assistance dogs are welcome, provided they wear a harness and have an assistance dog ID card.

The museum has stools, wheelchairs, a walker, and EnChroma glasses available to borrow.
