Tuinzaal Downstairs

The Tuinzaal is fresh and modern, with a distinctive, monumental appearance. The space overlooks the museum garden and the adjacent Nicolaïkerk, and features a sunny, spacious terrace.

Price: €900 (half-day), €1,200 (2 half-days) or €1,500 (3 half-days). Includes room rental, projector, projection screen, sound system (with two wireless microphones), Wi-Fi, flip chart and a floor manager

The packages include room hire with a floor manager, unlimited coffee, tea and infused water, sweet treats and an extensive lunch. Every room is equipped with Wi-Fi, a projector and a flip chart. All prices listed are per person and exclude VAT.

Accessibility

The Tuinzaal consists of two areas: the Tuinzaal upstairs and the Tuinzaal downstairs. The downstairs room is on the ground floor, and the upstairs room is accessible by stairs or elevator.

The restrooms in the building are gender-neutral. Symbols on the door indicate whether there is an accessible toilet, changing table, urinal, or regular toilet available.

Apart from the two halls, toilets, a cloakroom and foyer, there are no separate rooms available for pumping or prayer. There is also no low-stimulus/quiet room. If one of the two halls is available on the day of the event, that space can be used for this purpose. If that’s not possible, we will work together to find a suitable solution.

Assistance dogs are welcome, provided they wear a harness.

The lighting in the rooms can be adjusted in both Kelvin and Lumen. We can help you with the setup.

The Tuinzaal is best reached via the entrance at Nicolaasdwarsstraat 14. The sidewalk in front of the door has been lowered to improve accessibility.

The entrance doors of the Garden Room are 280 cm wide and have a small threshold of about 3 cm.
The passageways leading to the rooms are 105 cm wide and have no thresholds.
The entrance to the cloakroom is 95 cm wide and has no threshold. We’re happy to help you hang up your coat.
There is an elevator in the building (L150cm x W90cm x H210cm)
There is an accessible toilet with a low sink. The entrance door is 88 cm wide and the hallway leading to it is 150 cm wide.
In consultation with the museum shop, two wheelchairs can be made available. There are also folding stools you can borrow. We would appreciate it if you could let us know before the event whether you would like to make use of these.

There is currently no hearing loop available in the Tuinzaal
The museum does not have a Dutch Sign Language interpreter available. If desired, this can be arranged. Please let us know at least 30 days in advance via evenementen@centraalmuseum.nl
Please indicate which language the sign language interpreter should be able to interpret.
