The Dolls Pack Their Bags

A major move is coming up. The Centraal Museum is being renovated, so a large number of artworks will have to be relocated. Petronella de la Court’s beloved doll’s house will also have to be moved temporarily to storage (from 2021 to 2023). That is quite an undertaking, as the house consists of no fewer than 1,500 pieces. A miniature bookcase, a scale-model violin, a waffle iron just a few centimetres in size... Every single item must be catalogued, photographed, packed and prepared for the move.
