El Warcha (meaning ‘workshop’ in Arabic) is a collaborative design studio dedicated to knowledge exchange and collaboration with local communities. This chair is part of the installation Clever Ways of Stacking Chairs, created at Documenta 15. That’s where El Warcha organised a workshop with students from Kassel. Using all sorts of alternative materials and solutions, they transformed existing chairs into new and surprising models. [text 2023]
