‘The woman in the universe of possibilities, in self-respect, natural and simply enveloped in richness’. That is what the dress symbolises according to Nannet van der Kleijn, who founded the womenswear label Orson+Bodil in 1988 with Alexander van Slobbe. This dress is from their first collection. The designers, who both came from the fast-paced ready- to-wear industry, found time, attention and craftsmanship in couture. They now make dyes, decorate fabrics and do embroidery themselves.
