The work of Liberian-American Telfar Clemens is innovative and controversial. Since 2004, he has been designing collections under his own label Telfar, taking apart vintage garments and turning them into new pieces: unique designs accessible to all. Telfar was mainly appreciated on the underground scene until he won the CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund Award in 2016. With his open design mentality and extraordinary presentations, Clemens is inspiring a new generation of young designers. [text 2024]
