The king's lost shoes
Platform shoes were very popular in the 1970s,
famously worn by Black soul and funk bands such
as Earth Wind & Fire and pop stars such as David
Bowie and Elton John. By wearing these striking
shoes in everyday life, you showed which music
and fashion tribe you belonged to. Franciscus was
given these shoes as a birthday gift by his best
friend, Erwin Olaf. He lent them to someone and
