‘I live and work intuitively,’ Colette van Landuyt said of her artistic process. The Flemish fashion designer’s creations were intended to enhance the wearer’s personality. For this reason, her garments are serene and abstract, with attention paid to design and craftsmanship. Van Landuyt was far ahead of her time with her shows in Amsterdam:
as early as 1979, for instance, she used the street as a catwalk.
